Algebra 1 Course

Algebra 1 Curriculum and Annual Course Plan

The Algebra 1 curriculum is based on the Common Core Standards. The topics have been collated from multiple middle and high school grades to ensure that all concepts necessary to learn high school math and algebra have been included.

Topics in algebra 1 include operations on real numbers; simplifying expressions; solving first-degree equations, inequalities and application problems; graphing linear equations; simplifying exponents; operations on polynomials; factoring polynomials and some geometry topics like the Pythagorean Theorem.

The Algebra 1 course will prepare you for the study of high school algebra 2, geometry, pre calculus and calculus.
